Derek Chauvin was found guilty today on all counts, including murder. We are holding community close tonight as we feel a sense of relief from the verdict. However, this verdict does not undo the real injustice of George Floyd’s murder. George should be alive today. The verdict does not mark the end of the work that needs to be done, but reminds us of the power of our collective voice and action. We are all on stand now.As educators and leaders we owe it to our students to hold anti-racism as the through-line in our work. We must work together to breathe life into better possibilities for students and youth.#GeorgeFloyd #DaunteWright

This school year, Carol Lima (Bay Area '14) suppor This school year, Carol Lima (Bay Area '14) supported our second-year corps members as a mentor. In late 2020, Carol shared how she hopes to make a lasting impact through her work as a teacher and as a mentor: "I want the second years [corps members] that I advise to grow their anti-racist teaching practice so they impact the next seven generations in their school, and I want the teachers that I work with to impact the next seven generations in our school, and I want my students to impact the next seven generations after them." Thank you, @limas_limes , for all the work you do to impact educational equity across the Bay!
