Director of Postsecondary Success

Director of Postsecondary Success

You believe – and your work has demonstrated your belief – that all students can earn a postsecondary degree and the life that comes with it. As the Director of Postsecondary Success, your mission is to coach our Program Directors (teachers) to deliver the OneGoal program, building up their skills and strategies for supporting Fellows (students) to persist through the first year of their postsecondary pathway. You will cultivate and manage partnerships at postsecondary partner institutions to ensure that our Fellows have a supportive pathway to enroll and persist. In addition to developing our postsecondary success program work, the Director of Postsecondary Success will directly support Fellows who, based on historical and individual student data, are least likely to enroll and persist through college. You will do this through:Y3 Program Director Support Designing and delivering student coaching guides, professional development and coaching that grows Program Directors’ (PD) knowledge, skills, and mindsets in culturally responsive mentoring, and college success. This includes collaboration with OneGoal National Program Team to develop program resources for PDs and Fellows. This also includes: providing individual support to Fellows on an as-needed basis in support of PDs; working alongside PDs to establish a relationship and support them in identifying Fellows’ postsecondary aspirations; modeling for PDs how to provide targeted, holistic advising to ensure that Fellows are enrolled in a postsecondary institution one year following high school graduation. Post-Secondary Partnerships & Strategy Cultivating and fostering relationships with administrators and support staff at postsecondary institutions that will support Fellows to enroll and persist. This includes tracking, analyzing and identifying trends in the Bay Area postsecondary landscape, including research on alternative pathway options to support Fellow enrollment and retention. This also includes driving persistence and completion by gathering critical information and opportunities from postsecondary partners for our students and to share broadly across our community of Fellows and collaborating with Y1 & Y2 Directors of Teacher Support (DTSs) to integrate key postsecondary strategy into curriculum. Infrastructure & Systems Develop the infrastructure and systems for data collection and tracking in collaboration with the national Data Solutions team. Through regional and national collaboration and partnership, gather critical information, resources, historical/institutional context,  and key strategies for program implementation.
