Middle School Humanities Teacher
Marin Preparatory School (MPS) is a TK – 8, co-ed elementary and middle school with approximately 200 students. We offer a Spanish Infused, rigorous academic program with an equal emphasis on the social/emotional well-being of our students.The Middle School Humanities Teacher is a full-time position, teaching three separate sections of Humanities (grades 6, 7 and 8). In addition, the person will serve as an advisor to a group of approximately 10-12 middle school students and participate in the broader life of the school including offering elective courses, conducting parent/teacher conferences, chaperoning field trips and other student life activities, and more. The ideal candidate possesses experience teaching a wide range of topics in the Humanities including both English and History, with an understanding of the Lucy Calkin curriculum. The successful candidate will have a proven record of collaborative teamwork together with an understanding of interpersonal relations, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a healthy sense of humor.
