Senior Director, Develop
The Senior Director, Develop will lead the strategy to support hundreds of members seeking office at every level of government across the country. The Senior Director will lead the 12 person Develop team on the Elected Leadership team, which currently consists of campaign strategy and field experts, communications, digital, targeting, and fundraising experts in addition to a blended learning director. The Senior Director will manage staff to outcomes and is responsible for performance evaluations, professional development, and building a trusting, integrated, motivated, productive culture centered on impact.The ideal applicant must have demonstrated skill as a strong people manager. This person will have experience in hiring and performance management, intentionally developing a team with diverse skill sets, evaluating performance, and maximizing resources. Furthermore, the ideal applicant will be a continuous learner obsessed with winning, use multiple data to monitor progress and course correct as necessary, and effectively communicate across the organization. The ideal Senior Director will inspire and align internal stakeholders and be enterprising in scaling impact. Given the scope of impact, the Senior Director must be entrepreneurial and innovative to fully embrace the mindset that the “Whole is Greater than the Sum,” and work across the team and organization to maximize the Develop team’s reach. The Senior Director will ensure all touches are focused on winning, impact, equity, and superior member (customer) service.The Senior Director reports directly to the Vice President and is a member of the Elected Leadership team’s Leadership Team.
