- We launched in fall of 2018 with our first cohort of Fellows (students, in Concourse parlance). Back then, we were a founding team of four. Now, we’re getting ready to open our doors to more Fellows, and we’re six team members strong. We want you to be our seventh. You’ll work with Iris, our Director of Program Design and Lead Coach, to support our new group of Fellows and to help lead our organization to success.
- In this work — and at this stage — no two days will be the same, but your mission will be twofold:
- Coach Fellows toward earning a BA in 2-3 years
During live coaching sessions, you might play any number of roles, including academic problem-solver, confidante, personal trainer, consultant, and motivational speaker. You will also monitor Fellow progress outside of these sessions, supporting your coachees as unexpected challenges arise. To do this work well, you’ll need to balance efficacy (helping students persist) with efficiency, empathy with high expectations, and patience with pace.
- Experiment with, and continually improve on, our program design
We’ve already made significant changes to our program based on feedback from our pilot cohort, and we expect to make more changes as we continue to learn. You’ll play an essential role in this process — helping us evolve our coaching model and, beyond this, generally helping us become better and stronger as an organization.
