Chief Growth & Community Engagement Officer
Position Overview The Chief Growth & Community Engagement Officer oversees organizational growth strategy, district and authorizer partnerships, and parent and community engagement. As such, they are responsible for the development and execution of a long-term advocacy agenda that enables our students, schools and communities to thrive. They are charged with KIPP Bay Area Schools’ successful growth, including conveying to relevant stakeholders how the organization’s vision fits into the larger political context, creating the conditions for ongoing collaboration and partnership in a community, elevating parent voices, pursuing policy change where necessary, and securing permanent, quality facilities. This is a senior leadership role that in addition to driving a key set of district and community relationships will oversee our growth, community engagement, and real estate departments. The Chief Growth & Community Engagement Officer will report to the CEO and work from our downtown Oakland offices, with frequent travel to our schools and local communities throughout the Bay Area. Publicly representing our organization, this role will require some evening and occasional weekend work to participate in public school board meetings and local community events. The role is available immediately.
