ACE strategically recruits students and families to its three middle schools and one high school that feel disengaged and are falling behind academically. As a result, 91% of our students are considered low-income, 20% of students qualify for special education services, and 56% are classified as English Learners.Our mission demands an equity mindset - we recruit, develop and promote diverse staff. As a result, 74% of our teachers and 70% of our leaders identify as people of color. The Assistant Principal is part of a school leadership team that includes the Principal, School Leader in Residence, and Office Manager. Reporting to the School Principal, you will be spearheading school-wide initiatives to build an optimistic school culture that is fundamental to achieving our mission. Given the community we serve, this role demands an equity mindset, believing that all students deserve to succeed in school. You are a collaborator, as this role works closely with all stakeholders-- students, teachers, and families. This role reports to the school principal and direct reports include teachers and campus supervisors.
